Hey there

I'm Nicole Ashton (nee Gimpl). I am a Communications Analyst with the Kyrene School District where I create social media content for the district, oversee websites for all 26 schools and more.

 

Prior to joining Kyrene, I worked most recently as a Program Coordinator in the Career and Professional Development department of (my alma mater) the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University where I helped transform the department and the services that it offers. In this role, I planned and facilitated virtual events tailored to help alumni and current students with common career questions and pain-points as well as speed dating-style interview events to help students find internships. As a certified professional resume writer, I provided #CronkiteNation with resume reviews, cover letter advice and LinkedIn and portfolio reviews.

I have also held two marketing copywriter jobs where I expanded my skillset to include content writing, marketing strategies and sales. I am also proficient in copy editing, resume writing, cover letter writing, career development, organizational communication, virtual event planning and coordinating.

In May 2022, I graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University.
